How do y’all deal with medical issues while on the road?

(Pic unrelated, just thought ya’ll might enjoy my outdoor desk with my work bud hehe) This might be a bit off the beat for this sub, so if anyone knows a better one for me to post this in, I’m all ears. I live in my travel trailer full time with my partner, and we move often (usually every week, sometimes we’ll stay two weeks somewhere). Background: I believe I’ve torn my meniscus, and it’s feeling pretty severe, so I’m trying to deal with getting fully diagnosed and creating a plan of action, but I won’t be in my state of residency for a while. I’m not sure yet if I’ll need surgery (it took seven phone calls just to figure out how to get an MRI out of state without going to the ER). Thankfully I’ll be back in my home state for most of August, at least. Anyway, my real question: I’m almost certainly going to need PT, and we won’t be in the same place for more than three weeks until November (even then we will be moving every month or so). Has anyone dealt with this? Do I just have to keep getting referrals from my PCP to various PTs wherever I am? I’m already super overwhelmed after dealing with insurance and various urgent care/imaging staff on the phone all day. HALP. submitted by /u/boneyjoaniemacaroni [link] [comments]
